Bhupen Hazarika Regional Government Film and Television Institute, formerly known as the Jyoti Chitraban Film and Television Institute, is the sole cinema institute owned by the government in northeastern India located at Sila, Changsari in Assam. The institute, considered as one of the leading film & television institutes of the country, places a focus on the comprehensive development of its students' filmmaking skills through interactive, hands-on instruction in a range of film education topics.

DBHRGFTI Diploma Courses & Eligibility Criteria
1. Diploma in Audiography and Sound Engineering [3 Years]
Eligibility Criteria: Science or an equivalent subject passed in 10+2, with a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% for SC/ST)
2. Diploma in Motion Picture Photography [3 Years]
Eligibility Criteria: Science or an equivalent subject passed in 10+2, with a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% for SC/ST)
3. Diploma in Film and Video Editing [3 Years]
Eligibility Criteria: 10+2 passed in any discipline, securing minimum aggregate of 50% (SC/ ST-45%)
4. Diploma in Applied Acting (Film & TV) [2 Years]
Eligibility Criteria: 10+2 passed in any discipline or equivalent.
Age Limit: The candidate's age as of July 1, 2020, cannot exceed 24 years.
