Assam Police SI Recruitment 2020 :
The written test for the recruitment of 597 posts of Sub-Inspector (UB) of Assam Police has been rescheduled for 22nd November 2020. The same was notified by an order issued by the State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB) on 2nd October.
“The State Level Police Recruitment Board assures all applicants that the examination process will be totally transparent, where every applicant will get a fair opportunity to compete,” stated the notification.
A formal notification providing procedural details will be published in due course, it added.
Earlier Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal had ordered the rescheduling of the examination before 20th November. The board members of SLPRB have also been reshuffled and Director General of Police (DGP), Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta was appointed as the new chairman.
Few days ago, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has asked DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta to conduct an inquiry into the alleged leak of question papers of the exam to recruit sub-inspectors in the State Police, and take action against those behind it.
