Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) issued a press statement regarding the delay in publishing the results for its different vacancies announced from time to time. Here is the press release.
Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) has become aware that various electronic media and newspapers have informed the general public that APDCL has been unable to complete the selection process for the recruitment of Sahayaks and Office cum Field Assistants from the experienced category for an extended period of time.
Regarding this, APDCL would like to make it clear to everyone involved that the selection process for the experienced category positions of Sahayaks and Office/Field Assistants began with an advertisement on August 14, 2018 and that the experienced category final select list was published on February 10, 2020, in various newspapers and on the APDCL website. Up to 51 writ petitions contesting the selection procedure and the aforementioned choose list have been filed with the Hon'ble Gauhati High Court.
The Hon'ble High Court instructed APDCL not to fill the necessary positions by means of an interim order, and as a result, the positions remain unfilled. This is for everyone's general knowledge since the matter is currently in the last stages of hearing.
