Assam Police SI Recruitment Exam New date Upadte :
Chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal has directed Assam Police to conduct the recruitment exam for the sub-inspector (SI) posts within November 20.
Yesterday, during an investigation into irregularities in the Assam Police's sub-inspector (SI) hiring process, the chairman of State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam, Pradip Kumar has resigned from his position.
Just a day after former Chairman Pradip Kumar resigned from his position over his inability to conduct the SI exam properly under his chairmanship, CM Sonowal today reconstituted SLPRB.
While DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta has been appointed as the new Chairman of the board, ADGP Harmeet Singh has assumed the role of Board Member Secretary.
Other than that, ADGP LR Bishnoi and IGP Hiren Nath have been appointed as members of SLPRB.
Few days ago, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has requested that DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta look into the alleged leak of question papers of the exam to recruit sub-inspectors in the State Police, and take action against those behind it.
