Govt. Model College, Deithor, Karbi Anglong has released a notification for the recruitment of 20 Assistant Professor and Librarian vacancy.

I. Assistant Professor
No of posts: 19

Subject-wise vacancy:

1. English (4 posts): 2 (UR), 1 (OBC/MOBC), and 1 (UR-PWD)
2. Assamese (3 posts): 1 (STP), 1 (OBC/MOBC) and 1 (UR)
3. Economics (3 posts): 1 (SC), 1 (UR-EWS) and 1 post (STH)

4. Education (3 posts): 2 (OBC/MOBC) and 1 (UR)
5. Political Science (3 posts): 2 (UR) and 1 (STP)
6 Sociology (3 posts): 1 (OBC/MOBC), 1 (UR) and 1 (UR-EWS)

II. Librarian
No of posts: 1 post (UR)

Pay: Rs. 57,700 to 1,82,400, including other allowances as permitted by law and as occasionally admissible.

Educational Qualification:
1. Good academic record with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade point at the Master degree level (5% is relaxable to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/ PwD category) in the concerned subject.

2. Candidates must have passed the UGC/CSIR-conducted NET, SLET, and SET exams or similar test accredited by UGC like SLET Commission. 3. The candidate having Ph.D. degree in compliance with the UGC regulation (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D.), 2009 shall not be subject to the minimum qualifying requirements of NET/SLET/SET.

Selection Process: The choice will be made in accordance with the latest guidelines issued by the DHE, Govt. of Assam.

Age: Candidate should not be more than 38 years of age as on 01.01.2020 with relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/PwD and 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates.

- Prospective in-service applicants must apply via the official channels and include a letter of recommendation from the hiring authority.
- The applicant needs to be proficient in the local tongue and submit their PRC.
