The culprit behind the infamous ‘Audio Clip’ who tried to spread rumours and misinformation associated with the continued recruitment drive for Sub Inspector (SI) in Assam Police was arrested on Saturday.
Assam Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta, Director General of Police (DGP), informed that the accused has been identified as Manoj Tamuli from Rajkhowa Gaon of Panigaon.
In a series of tweets, Assam Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta, Director-General of Police (DGP), stated, “These recruitment drives are conducted by Assam State Level Police Recruitment Board under Govt. of Assam. These recruitment drives are held under strict and transparent policies, and open for scrutiny by all candidates”.

He also asked all the candidates not fall for any rumours. He reiterated "I call upon all the candidates to not fall for any rumour and misinformation. Also please report any such bad characters and cheats who are attempting to exploit the candidates to your nearest Police Station."
